Storm Damage Cleanup in Sarasota, FL

After a storm, we take down split and hanging limbs, cut up trees and branches that have fallen, and haul everything away.

Before anything else

Storm-damaged trees are dangerous. A split limb can hang for days and then fall without warning.

  • Keep people and pets out from under split or hanging limbs.
  • Stay away from power lines and anything touching them, and report them to the power company.
  • Don’t climb a ladder with a chainsaw.
  • Take photos of the damage from a safe spot before any work starts.

What we do

We start with the hanging and split limbs, working from the bucket truck, so the area is safe. Then we cut up whatever is on the ground, the house, the fence or the car, and haul it away. The video on this page shows one of these jobs: an oak limb split down the middle next to a house.

Cleanup

Storms leave leaves and small branches everywhere. We clean up the yard, the roof and the driveway along with the larger wood.

Before the next storm

A trim before storm season removes the dead wood and weak limbs that usually break first. See when to trim before hurricane season and what to do when a storm damages a tree.

Photos from our jobs

  • Large oak beside a house with one limb split open and hanging, the bucket truck parked at the curb and cut brush piled by the street.
Before: an oak limb split open and hanging next to the house.
  • Large oak in a front yard with a limb torn away near the trunk, homes along the street on either side.
A torn limb like this needs to come off before it comes down on its own.
  • Crew member on a low-slope roof clearing leaves and twigs, with ladders against the house and an Andy's PGM truck in the yard.
Cleanup includes the roof. Nothing left for the homeowner.

Common questions

What should I do first after a storm?

Keep everyone away from the damaged tree, and stay clear of anything touching a power line. Report downed lines to the power company. Then call us at 941-504-8190.

Do you clean up everything, or just cut it?

We cut it up, haul it away and clean up the yard.

Should I take pictures before you start?

Yes, especially if you plan to file an insurance claim. Photograph the damage from a safe distance before any work starts.
